Lake Nakuru National Park
Lake Nakuru is a small shallow alkaline lake which lies approximately 20kms from Ziwa Bush Lodge. The picturesque lake is home to many hippos along with the attractive birdlife of flamingos and pelicans, swimming upon the water.
The surroundings of the lake play host to a wide variety of African wildlife and remains one of the best places to see Rhino in Kenya. Safaris within the park can always guarantee sights of the Giraffe, Buffaloes, Zebras and antelope.
Lake Nakuru National Park homes some beautifully scenic terrain from the shallow lake with its mud flats and swamp, African Acacia woodlands and beautiful open grasslands. It also hosts some lovely picnic spots throughout, inclusive of the impeccable lookout abode upon a cliff where you overlook the magnificent views of the game park – also playing house to the cheeky baboons!
